GW PH Updates: 1-Credit CCAS 1001 & NIH Research

August 20, 2021

1-credit CCAS 1001 for Incoming First-Year Students

This one-credit, graded course is a great opportunity for all first years to identify personal and academic goals, build community, learn about the history of GW, explore what it means to have a liberal arts education, explore majors and minors and build four-year academic plans, and work on professional development through crafting resumes and cover letters.

These are 19 student classes, so it's a great way to get to know your peers in CCAS**, and make the university feel smaller! Additionally, sections will also be taught by academic advisors, who are excited to support your development throughout your time at GW. This class will only be available to you in the Fall 2021 semester, so don't miss out on this opportunity!

1 of the sections will be taught by yours truly! :)

**Please note that you must be a student within the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences in order to take this course!

Participate in Dr. Tonya Dodge’s Research

My name is Saba Rentia and I am an undergraduate student at The George Washington University working under the supervision of Dr. Tonya Dodge ([email protected]).

I am working on a research project that aims to understand how medical students think about addiction and its treatment. We're currently trying to find medical students to take a 5-10 minute survey for us as part of the study.

The survey is limited to 100 participants only. As a thank you for completing the survey, these participants will receive a $5 Starbucks gift card. If interested, participants can follow the link below to complete the survey, which will take less than 10 minutes.
